I like the way RSS allows me to link all my favourite sites but I think that if I look at it from a solely personal/individual point of view then I think that bookmarking i.e. favourites does the same job.
From a work/library point of view I think there are many more advantages. Patrons would be able to access up-to-date information on library events and services. With the right feeds they could look up new books and request items for the library's collection. Staff could access up-to-date news feeds as well as keeping up with new developments in the Library industry.
On the down side, it would be very easy to over subscribe - there are so many great sites! With all the different sites available it would be very easy to become overwealmed with all the information.
On a daily basis I'm not sure that I would have time or remember each day to check my bloglines site or for that matter my blog site.
Overall I found the task interesting with good possibilities for use at work. The sites I liked the best and added to my blog are 'Quote of the Day' and 'ABC News"
Sites I found informative and added to my bloglines account:
Library Staff
EW.com movies
NYT Books
Publishers Weekly Best Sellers
